I've been offered a job with a company that makes trade publications for IT professionals as a Marketing Communications Specialist. I've accepted!
HOORAY!!
Gave my notice today, and got the whole gamut of reactions, from "What the hell???" to "I'm going to miss you waaahhh!!!" to "FUCKING WHORE!!"
That last one's my favourite.
The next two weeks are going to be sheer joy...
I start June 22, after a brief hiatus so I can decompress.
Yay for me!

Congrats Vicki! I too will miss all those stories about your boss but I'm sure you'll have more stories to tell us about the wild times in an IT publication. Wow, I just made myself sad.

Vicki, I as well am quite happy for you. But I will miss you and all your cool websites and links and funny emails, etc. Just make sure you keep sending those. As for tea time, you just make sure you've got a replacement lined up before you go!! :) And though my reaction to your departure was one of shock, I must say I'm surprised that someone called you a fuckin whore! haha. Jealousy eh? what a beautiful thing.
