IGN's Top 100 Animated Series list.
I will happily accept #2. And I might grudgingly accept #1, except for the fact that it ran its course after the seventh season. But we all know Avatar belongs a little higher up than this. 8 )
I mean, c'mon. Did it really get beaten out by Muppet Babies? It was okay at the time when I was 12 years old and just needed something to fill in the 9:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday-morning gap. But if we're judging based on animation, storytelling, and impact on popular culture, I hardly think it deserves a mention.
Well, at least Avatar beat out Naruto.

I'm not going to go through 100 pages of clicking. Do they have a comprehensive list somewhere?

How can they leave out "Aeon Flux"? The movie was garbage but the animated series was amazing.
YES. Aeon FLux, she needs recognition, it was brilliant!
A series that is always overlooked in these lists is Rocko's Modern Life. It may have to grow on you, but once it does it is brilliant. It might be cult, so I don't dare to claim it deserves a top 5 place in lists like these, but to me it is a 5 star brilliant show.
I am stoked Fullmetal Alchemist and Cowboy Bebop made it. Cowboy Bebop is probably one of THE most recongized and highly aclimed anime shows. And Fullmetal Alchemist is nothing but one of the best. And I agree, Avatar the Last Airbender should of been a bit higher.
I think that teen titan shuld be in a better place. :S
Rescue Rangers, Spiderman, Smurfs, and MOSTLY Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are GROSSLY underrated!
many dont even deserve to be called anime, there is always a diff btwn cartoons nd anime
